Holly Daniels Christensen, Founder & Designer of Dune Jewelry & Co., has built her company around one simple idea: the places we travel and the memories we make deserve to stay with us. Since launching Dune in 2010, Holly has transformed sand, shells, sea glass, flower petals and other meaningful elements from thousands of destinations around the world into handcrafted jewelry designed to tell a personal story.
Christine Kesteloo brings a lifelong passion for travel and cruising to every Dune Travels sailing. A former Holland America cruise director and recognized travel content creator, Christine knows how to turn a great itinerary into an even more memorable experience.
Together, Holly and Christine bring the spirit of Dune Travels to life — combining incredible destinations, shared experiences, plenty of fun and a welcoming sense of community. The Story Behind Dune Jewelry
What began at Holly Daniels Christensen’s kitchen table in 2007 grew from a creative way to preserve seaside memories into something much bigger. Holly began designing jewelry filled with sand for family and friends, and by 2010, Dune Jewelry & Co. was officially born. Today, Dune has grown from a one-woman passion project into a nationally recognized jewelry brand with customers around the world.
At the heart of Dune is a simple idea: the places we love become part of our story. Each piece is designed to capture those memories using meaningful elements such as sand, shells, sea glass, flower petals and other materials connected to special destinations and experiences. Every design is handcrafted with care by Dune’s talented team of Sand Artists in Norwood, Massachusetts. And as Dune Travels takes that spirit out into the world, the mission remains the same: celebrate the journey, create unforgettable memories, and “live for the moment, then take it with you.”
